Program Overview
The MFT training program at DFI is a two-year, post-master’s degree program which will earn you your AAMFT Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. You may also choose to do the first year of your two years here as your internship during your last year of graduate school.
Our program offers the following:
- An excellent learning environment with experiential, interactive coursework
- Intensive clinical hands-on training with families, couples and individuals
- Experienced AAMFT approved clinicians as supervisors
- The most extensive program of its kind in the region
- Internship opportunities for interested graduate students (with reduced tuition)
- Creative cooperative agreements with graduate programs including our collaborative program with the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work
- Unique live supervision which enables students to extend their knowledge of effective therapeutic skills
