This expansion advances DFI’s strategic plan to broaden inclusive care, enhance training for future therapists, and build resilient, equity-driven systems that serve Colorado’s diverse communities.
DFI’s newly expanded programming will increase access to affirming care and community support, and provide robust training for the clinicians and partners who make it possible.

What is changing?
Envision:You’s programs are integrating as DFI programs. Communications may reference “a program of DFI” during the near-term transition.
What is not changing?
DFI’s mission, values, and core programs remain the same. Existing DFI services and appointments will continue without disruption.
Will any services be interrupted?
No. Program delivery will continue, now supported by DFI’s clinical and administrative infrastructure.
What does this mean for training programs at DFI?
The core curriculum of DFI’s Marriage & Family Therapy Training Program will remain the same in the near-term with ongoing integration of culturally responsive care and best practices when working with the LGBTQ+ community. DFI will expand training offerings that focus on LGTBQ+-affirming practices such as the Queer Youth Program, the Behavioral Health Provider Training Program, and Q is for Questioning.
How does this expansion affect current facilitators and partners?
We will take a “business-as-usual” approach in Year 1. Contracts already in place will be honored; any future changes will include ample notice and collaboration.
